As we address the climate impact of our built environment, recognition of traditional wisdom and ingenuity provides a valuable perspective and a broader set of inspirational strategies for sympathetic embodied and operational carbon mitigation.
With this talk, Cory introduces the logic of embodied wisdom from climate concepts to strategies for human comfort and building longevity. She presents a survey of illustrative examples and shares resources for further exploration across four general climate categories. She suggests ways in which these strategies may contribute to meeting carbon targets and may provide resilience in the face of climate threats and shifts in our local climates.
